In New England, they have the perfect blend of seasonings and salt in their crab boils. We were so inspired, we started using some of the seasonings to garnish the rims of our margaritas and Bloody Marys.
We came home and created our own blend that is the perfect balance of savory, spicy and saltiness. Using this spiced salt is so easy: Just spread some salt on a plate, run a lime or lemon wedge over the top of your glass and then twist the rim in the salt.
The 3 oz tin - which is smaller in diameter than a standard margarita or rocks glass - has enough salt to rim at least 50 rocks or margarita glasses, depending on the size of the glass, the thickness of the rim and how much salt you use. Suggested serving size: 1/4 teaspoon per glass.
Please note: These are not rimming tins, as they are smaller than the diameter of a standard margarita glass. But we give you instructions on how to use the salts, along with a favorite margarita recipe.
