Website
Our website is taking orders—but please understand that we are unable to handle any rush orders at this time. We are still able to produce orders in an average of 3 to 5 business days, but there may be times when it takes an extra day or two.
We are also finding that USPS and UPS can be - not always, but here and there - delayed in delivering orders once your package leaves our commercial kitchen. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by any such delays.
Store
Our commercial kitchen is closed to the public, but is open for pickup orders in Chicago. You can find the address on Google Maps here. If you would like to place a local pickup, please contact David at david@dellcovespices.com and we will set up a custom order for you to purchase, and set up a time for you to pick up your order.
We have found that the safest option is for customers to pull up to the shop, remain in their car and we can place your order into your trunk. For the safety of everyone, all orders must be placed and paid for online. Modifications are not possible at time of pickup. We are unable to take orders at our door.
Essential Business
Dell Cove Spices & More Co® is based in Illinois, which is under a mandatory “stay at home” order. The Illinois order can be found here. As a food business, we are permitted to operate under these orders. Federal guidelines are described at cisa.gov. We are part of the Food and Agriculture Sector.
Safety
Dell Cove Spices & More Co® is registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and inspected by local health departments. We have always followed strict food safety standards. At this time, our "staff" is extremely small - it is me and my wife.
Still, we have updated our documented procedures to address new threats posed by COVID-19, and will be following these procedures going forward. These steps include:
Enhancing our already-aggressive sanitation procedures with additional focus on surfaces used for packaging and fulfillment; implemented and enforced strict social distancing requirements; use face masks at all times; do not use public transportation and (if we are able to hire staff), make alternative arrangements for future employee transportation.
