I created this cocktail recipe as a nod to Día de los Muertos and the classic, colorful sugar skulls that are so much a part of the celebration of honoring the dead. If you can't find blackberry juice, you can easily swap that ingredient for cranberry juice.
COCKTAIL RECIPE: SWEETEST DEATH
4 oz lemon-flavored vodka
4 drops orange-flavored bitters
8 oz blackberry juice
Dell Cove Spice Co.'s Midnight Black cocktail rim sugar
Rim two chilled bar glasses with Dell Cove Spice Co.'s Midnight Black cocktail rim sugar. Fill glasses with ice, then set aside.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine vodka, blackberry juice and bitters. Shake vigorously, and then strain into rimmed glass. Top glasses off with club soda and garnish with berries.
